'Frilly' is all about fun and collaboration whether it's the doing good work at We Are Frilly or making fun things under Frilly industries.

We Are Frilly came first, where I run participatory art projects with people of all ages. Helping people in connecting with their own creativity meant my own was often neglected.

I believe that anyone can do anything, you just need the opportunity to have a go and practice! I'm always coming up with ideas without any practical skill in realising them which is why I love working with other people and figuring things out as we go along!

This belief resulted in the purchase of Bertha the laser cutter after seeing someone operate their giant one for a project I was working on. Go big or go home right?

FRILLY INDUSTRIES WAS BORN!

Working out of my Victorian studio set over two floors in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter - you'll find me between a sandwich shop and a dog-friendly traditional pub full of real ales and cheese and potato pie!

The studio is full of leftover materials from projects, jewellery making stuff, scrap resources and tools for the great and the many. It means it can get messy pretty quickly when dashing from workshops all around the country and making fun things in between.

It can be hard to juggle the running of two businesses - but I wouldn't have it any other way.....just remember to holler and get in touch with me if you want to commission something or have seen something on insta but can't find it in my shop!
